For us, the protection of your privacy and personal data has a high priority. Here we would like to give you an overview, what data we collect, what we use it for and what precautions we take to protect your data.

Data protection is a top priority at ehotel. We are a hotel booking platform that meets the stringent requirements of the payment card industry with a PCI-DSS certification for the safe handling of sensitive data!

What kind of data do we collect?

Reservation

In order to book your hotel reservation we collect the necessary data. Those are the name of the orderer, the traveler, phone- and faxnumber, e-mail address, if applicable your address and creditcard number as well as your date of arrival and departure, the planned hotel, category of rooms, conditions of cancelations and the IP address.

Requests by e-mail

The questions, bookings or general requests directed to us will be collected and archived for a short time and deleted after the period of 60 days.

Login / registered user

You have the opportunity to register on our website and provide your contact data. Registered users benefit by a more rapid and comfortabel booking process.
The data necessary for your booking will be passed on to the hotel of your choice. Hotels can eventually use a central booking system in order to place your booking e.g. of a hotel chain. Data will basically not been given, sold or rented out to a third party. Excepted are only legal or official orders.

Newsletter

You can subscribe for our free of charge ehotel newsletter, that is distributed via e-mail. The subscription can be terminated any time.

Use of Social Plugins | among others: Facebook, Twitter, Misterwong and other

Our website uses several social plugins (“plugins”) from diverse social networks on several of its pages – i.e. the Facebook.com plugin. When you visit a website that contains such a plugin, your browser may establish a direct connection to the servers of Facebook or the relevant social network.  We have no influence on the amount of data that the plugin collects and thus provide you with this information according only to the scope of our own knowledge: 
By incorporating the plugin, Facebook (or other social networks) receive the information that you have visited the corresponding page on our website. If you are logged into Facebook (or another social network) the webpage visit can then be assigned to your respective account. The purpose and scope of data collection and additional processing and use of the data by Facebook (or other social networks) as well as your rights and possibilities for the protection of your privacy, can be obtained directly from the data protection statement of Facebook or the relevant social network operator. 
If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect data about your visit to our websites, then you are advised to log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
It is also possible to block social plugins using add-ons for your browser.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, in case of activation of IP anonymity on this website, your IP address will first be abbreviated by Google, if you are located within a Member State of the European Union or the cooperating European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and then abbreviated there. We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp ();” in order to ensure an anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

Data Transfer

The data required for the reservation will be passed on to the selected hotel. If necessary, a central reservation system may be used to secure this reservation – for instance, in the case of hotel chains. Data is generally not passed on, sold or leased to third parties, except in the case of official or legal orders.

Archival Storage

In line with the legal regulations we are required by law to document and archive business processes. (Bookkeeping / German Commercial Code). Data that are excluded from this legal regulations will be deleted at regular intervals; e.g. creditcard-data after the booked day of departure.

Data Security

Data that are security relevant will be cryptographically secured by using the 256 Bit SSL-(Secure Socket Layer) procedure and transmitted. The currently used encryption depends amongst others upon the used browser. Our IT-infrastructure is optimated by the standards of the german Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) to assure the most possible security against loss or abusive use of the data.
