Since then, further significant seals of enironmental certification have been added, including GreenKey, GreenGlobe, Travelife, TourCert, Viabono and Biosphere. In order to receive these recognized seals, hotels must observe environmental protection regulations and demonstrate sustainable use of energy and water. Other important criteria auditors are looking for include waste reduction and management, accessibility by public transport, and working atmosphere. Certificates from providers such as EarthCheck or DEHOGA Umweltcheck will soon round off ehotel®’s green filter range.
Thus, ehotel® customers can view all important information about sustainability-certified hotels at a glance, helping them to comply with their company’s guidelines and to adhere to their own green values.
